Fruiting body: full resupinate, tightly attached to the substrate, forming thin, membranous crustose patches of several cm in extent, young smooth, then tuberculate and more rarely with short spines, young whitish, then ocher to creamy, margin is farinose, thinning out.
Spore print: white-hyaline
Spore: oval, 5-6 x 4-4,5(5) μm
Flesh: soft, waxlike, crustose, without odor and taste.
Habitat: on rotten wood of conifers, more rarely on hardwoods, grows form summer to fall.
