Detailed description


Cap: 1-3 cm across, spherical to hemispherical, later campanulate to expanded, surface covered with the veil when young, veil splitting up to form scales or warts, glabrous when old, honey brown with a darker center, fading toward the margin, grooved-striate almost to the center, slowly deliquescing, margin soon undulating and split.
Hymenophore: lamellae are white when young, later gray brown till black, broad, finely adnexed, edges white-flocculose.
Spore print: purple black
Spore: elliptic-rhombic, 6-10.5 x 4-5,7(6,5) μm
Stem: 5-10 x 0,3-0,5 cm, cylindrical, somewhat widened toward the base, hollow, fragile, white surface, cowered with fine white powder when young, later base glabrous, shiny and yellowish.
Flesh: white, thin, undistinguished odor or taste.
Habitat: on dead hardwoods, including partly burned wood, buried roots, grows from late spring till fall.
Edibility: conditionally edible, do not mix it with alcohol.
