Habit of Growth: Mycorrhiza

Cap: 10-20 cm across, first high spherical, later plane and dented in center, surface is ocher red brown, on margin little paler and in age clearly striate, covered with dirty yellow scales, margin is long incurved, covered with velumrests, which can disappear in rain periods.
Hymenophore: lamellae are white creamy, tight and free.

Spore: oval, 9-12 x 6-9 μm
Stem: 10-25 x 1,5-2 cm, cylindric, base is mostly bulbous and puffy belted, full, later hollow, creamy, ring is hanged and soon disappearing, jung with yellow margin, base is in creamy volva.
Flesh: whitish creamy, under the cup cuticle brown, soft, without taste and odor.
Habitat: gregarious in conifer forests, by spruce and birch, grows from late summer to fall.
Remarks: similar with Amanita caesarea, which cup is orange and has striate margin, and with Amanita rubescens, which flesh is if damaged red.
