Cap: 5-10 cm, first convex, later expanded and flat, often dented in center, hygrophanous, if dry brown, light ocher, silky, center covered with scales, margin is translucent striate.
Hymenophore: cream to pink, narrow on stem adnate to decurrent.

Spore: subglobose, 7-9 x 5,5-6,5 μm
Stem: 5-10 x 0,5-1,5 cm, cylindrical, base often thicker, light brown, with no ring, longitudinal grooved, base fibered.
Flesh: white and watery, odor like fungi, taste mild.
Habitat: clumped often on rocky or stony pine bogs and swamps, on wet substrates often on wet soils, grows from summer to fall.
