Detailed description


Cap: 1-5 cm across, first ovoid to cylindrical, later conic to campanulate, old flattened and weak bumped, if wet and young yolk to lemon yellow and greasy, if dry and old light yellow to creamy, dull, hygrophan, young only weak striate, old up to the middle of the cup furrow-striate, young with white velum rests, old margin sharp and weakly wavy crenate.
Hymenophore: first are lamellae white, then light ocher yellow, later rust brown, broad, narrow atached, edges are fine whitish ciliate.
Spore print: violet brown
Spore: elliptic and smooth, 11,1-12,9 X 6,8-8,5 μm
Stem: 4-11 x 0,2-0,5 cm, cylindrical, with slightly expanded base, hollow, fragile, smooth, powdered white on pale yellow background.
Flesh: white, thin, odorless, taste mild and uncharacteristic.
Habitat: solitary to gregarious in meadows, along roadsides, among grass, compost heaps, on rotting wood chips, grows from summer to fall.
Edibility: inedible
