Cap: 3-12 cm concrescent cups corresponding larger, irregularly rounded to flabellate with undulating margin, upper surface is velutinous tomentose, aerolate squamose toward the center, often the entire surface rimose squamose in age, pale olive green to olive brown.
Hymenophore: whitish to yellowish brownish, decurent tube layer, pores are rounded to angular.
Spore print: white-hyalin
Spore: subglobose, with drops, 5-7 x 4,5-5 μm
Stem: 2-4 x 1-1,5 cm, solid, finely tomentose, whitish.
Flesh: soft, fragile, whitish, odor is unpleasant to stinking, taste is mild but unpleasant.
Habitat: solitary, but usually up to several concrescnet in broadleaved and coniferous forests, grows from summer to fall.
