Detailed description


Cap: 4-10 cm across, first conic hemispheric, later convex to plane, dirty gray whitish to brownish, often with indistinct fitting, darker concentric scales.
Hymenophore: lamellae are first flesh red, later black, thin.
Spore print: brown
Spore: round, 6-8(9) x 4,5-6 μm
Stem: 4-10 x 1,5-3 cm, cylindrical, relative long, with hanging ring, under it with belt like ring zone, or with scaled torned velum rests.
Flesh: if cut pink, odor is neutral to sweet fruity, taste mild, insipid.
Habitat: solitary, gregarious to clustered in forests on loose, humus rich soils, in parks and gardens, under poplar, grows from may to october.
