Detailed description


Cap: 3-6 cm across, young hemispherical to convex, later plane to infundibuliform, with an abtuse umbo, smooth, fine velutinous-tomentose to innately fibrillose, gray to ocher brown, yellow brown, center is darker, toward the margin is paler to whitish, margin acute, sometimes split to slightly crenate.
Hymenophore: first are lamellae whitish, later light yellowish, broad, falcate-decurrent, few forked, pliant, waxy, with smooth edges.
Spore print: white
Spore: elliptic to oval, with drops, 5,6-7,8 x 3,5-5 μm
Stem: 3-7 x 0,5-1,5 cm, clavate toward the base, toward the apex cylindric, solid, corticate, spongy, longitudinally fibrillose, brownish ocher-yellow to white yellow, base white tomentose.
Flesh: whitish, in the center thick, toward the margin thin, on the stem soft and spongy, odor pleasant spicy, taste mild and pleasant.
Habitat: solitary to gregarious in forests, forest clearings, on heathlike soils, prefers acid subsoil, grows from summer to fall.
Edibility: conditionally edible, dont mix it with alcohol!
