Cap: 2-4 x 2-6 cm across, apothecium shell- to cup- or goblet-shaped, irregularly undulating and expanded in age, gray-brown or chestnut brown, outer surface becoming pale toward the stalk.
Hymenophore: on the upper side of the cup, smooth, brown, oval with big oil drop.
Spore print: white-hyalin
Spore: elliptical, 8-20(20,9) X 10,5-13,4 μm
Stem: with raised sharp-edged white to ochre-colored longitudinal ribs.
Flesh: white, tough, no destinguished taste or odor.
Habitat: in broadleaved and coniferous forests, in pastures, on path, on sandy chalky soil, grows from april to june.
