Mushroom is not protected
Fruiting body: full resupinate, up to palm size, usually forming incoherent, perforated patches, arachnoid surface, furfuraceous, irregularly loose and open, ocher to sulfur yellow, marginal zone is irregularly fringed with distinct rhizomorphs.
Spore print: white-hyaline
Spore: oval, with one drop, 4-5 x 2,5-3 μm
Flesh: loosely filamentous, fibrous to thin membranous, without odor or taste.
Habitat: on the underside of dead wood, commonly in burned places, also on remains of mosses, grows all year.
