Habit of Growth: Mycorrhiza

Detailed description


Cap: 4-10 cm across, convex, later shallowly funnel-shaped, with small dark orange and brown blotches, later green blotches, orange red background, margin first incurved.
Hymenophore: lamellae are orange, thick, thin, broadly adnate to subdecurent or notched.
Spore print: ocher
Spore: elliptical with ornament, 7,1-9(9,4) X (5,9)6,4-7(7,3) μm, with some warts and ribs, which are almost completely net-like connected.
Stem: 3-6 x 1-2 cm, cylindric, solid, upper side is little thicker, orange with yellowish spots.
Flesh: white, solid, hard, under the stem orange, odor and taste pleasant. Milk: reddish orange, after few hours green, mild.
Habitat: gregarious or solitary under pines and spruces, grows from summer to fall.
