Cap: 2-7 cm, low convex to plane with a slightly depressed center, smooth surface, dry and slightly glossy, orange color, in dry dull, in wet shiny and greasy, margin paller, margin first inrolled, later sharp and smooth.
Hymenophore: lamellae are pinkish, gills are broadly adnate to shortly decurrent.
Spore print: light yellow
Spore: globose to elliptical, 6,9-9,3(9,9) X 5,8(6,2)-7,1(7,8) μm, ornament, with many, partially elongated warts and ribs, which are little or strongly net-like connected.
Stem: 2,5-6,5 x 0,5-1,2 cm, cylindrical or slightly clavate, smooth, brownish orange, longitudinalyy veined.
Flesh: pale white to pale orange, fragile, odor mild, taste little nutty.
Milk: white, mild to bitter.
Habitat: in coniferous and deciduous woodland, also occasionally reported with dwarf willow in coastal dune slacks, grows in fall.
