Detailed description


Cap: 5-15 cm across, first hemispherical, later convex, slightly tomentose, greasy in wet, in dry cracked, gray ocher, brown, brownish red, margin is sharp.
Hymenophore: pores are subglobose, fine, lemon yellow, mouths are concolorous, on stem notched.
Spore print: yellow
Spore: elliptic, 18-20 x 5-7 μm
Stem: 5-12 x 1-3 cm, clavate, cylindric, base is thinner, with yellow scales which are if touched brownish.
Flesh: white yellow, firm, odor is uncharacteristic, taste is mild.
Habitat: solitary to gregarious in mediterranea oak forests under holm oak, grows from late fall to early winter.
