Habit of Growth: Saprotroph

Detailed description


Cap: 2,5-7 cm across, hemispherical when young, later convex, plane with a slightly umbonate center when old, smooth brown surface, shiny when young, hygrophanous, later brown, margin incurved for a long time and sometimes hung with a few whitish veil remnants.
Hymenophore: lamellae are smooth, thick-walled, first white, later gray- brown.
Spore print: brown
Spore: elliptical, 8,4-10,7 x 5,5-6,5 μm
Stem: 4-8 x 0,5-1 cm, cylindrical, base enlarged to bulbous, with white rhizmorphs, solid, corticate, surface longitudinally whitish- fibrillose, browning in age, whitish membranous pendent annulus when young, which disappears in age.
Flesh: whitish, soft, odor herbaceous-fungoid, taste bitter.
Habitat: grouped in forests, parks, gardens, brushland, grows from spring to early summer.
