Cap: 10-15(25) cm, first hemispherical, later spread and also cushion-shaped, irregularly deep pitted, fine tomentose, whitish to light beige gray, under pressure green bluish, later brownish, in dry period surface is cracked, margin is thin.
Hymenophore: bright lemon or gold yellow, later olive to brownish yellow, under pressure bluish, on stem strongly depressed and almost free.
Spore print: dark olive brown
Spore: elliptic-spindle shaped, with drops, 11,4-13,5(14,8) x 5,3-6,4(7,6) μm
Stem: 5-14 x 4-7 cm, first bulbous, later clavate, base is pointed and rooted, young light yellow and covered with yellow net, also weakly reddish girded, old brownish yellowish and with brownish net, later little reddish stained, under pressure bluish, on the upper side is flesh light yellow and bluish, downside light pink brownish, not bluish, full and solid.
Flesh: whitish to light yellowish, if cut immediately paler, thick, odor weakly unpleasant, taste mild and after longer chewing bitter.
Habitat: gregarious or solitary in conifer woods, parks, on dry and calcareous or base rich soils, grows from summer to fall.
