Cap: 5-20 cm across, hemispherical when young, later convex pulvinate or plane, finely tomentose, slightly tuberculate, yellow to brown.
Hymenophore: smooth, yellow later yellow green, long tubes with drops.

Stem: 5-14 x 2-6 cm, conic ventricose or cylindric, not rooting, yellow, reddish below, covered with pastules.
Flesh: whitish yellow, reddish under the cuticle, firm, sourish odor, pleasant taste.
Habitat: in edges of hardwood forests, in groups, grows in fall.
