Detailed description


Cap: 2-7(10) x 2-5 cm, circular to spatulate, later conchate, laterally attached to the substrate, without stem, smooth, dull, attached part is sometimes tomentose, white to cream white, margin is incurved and tomentose, later smooth, and acute, in age undulating.
Hymenophore: lamellae are first white, later cream to yellowish, broad, some are forked, converging toward the part of the pileus attached to the substrate.
Spore print: whitish
Spore: subglobose, 5,1-7,3 x 4,5-6,7 μm
Flesh: whitish, thin, odor is herbaceous mushroomy, taste is mild.
Habitat: clustered or imbricate and gregarious on rotten wood of spruce, fir and pine, on stumps, fallen trunks, on damp wood used in lying on the ground, grows from summer to fall.
Edibility: inedible
Remarks: similar with Panellus mitis, which cuticle is gelatinous, and with Crepidotus mollis, with brownish spores and gelatinous peelable cuticle.
